When Laurel and I first started dating, I told her - “it will never be boring, but it may never be easy.” Staying true to my promise our girls came nearly 3 months early and spent 82 days in the NICU. At times the only place we had to express our thoughts were these pages.
There is nothing that can prepare you for a NICU experience, but we keep this up in hopes that it helps someone, some day.
