I am a brand builder, entrepreneur, and sales-minded operator with a proudly nontraditional background. My start in the outdoor world came while guiding whitewater in the jungles of Tena, Ecuador, where I learned fast, worked hard, and discovered how much I thrive outside structure. Guiding paid for grad school, climbing quickly took over my life, and after earning my PhD I stepped away from academia to build companies instead.

I went on to co-found Oru Kayak, launch it globally, and spend the next decade growing and selling businesses across the outdoor and consumer landscape. In 2021 I shifted my focus toward exiting a key business so I could free myself up to get back to building brands and sales programs with talented teams. During that time I worked as a fractional executive and contractor for a variety of companies, some of which are highlighted here and others that remained behind the scenes.

I build brands the same way I’ve built my career. Through instinct, grit, curiosity, and a deep understanding of people. I create momentum where others see obstacles and drive growth with creativity and commercial discipline.

My path has never been traditional, and neither are my results.
